Does the "Automatic zoning for daylight controls?" feature effectively supplant the SBEM requirement for the user to manually define perimeter zones?
If perimeter zones are manually input, am I correct in assuming that virtual partitions are used? |

Yes - no need for virtual partitions if you use this option.

Yes in this case use virtual partitions to sub-divide the block as per the NCM rules.
