dear all,
I've got a weather data from the architect in .WEA, I converted it in .epw via ecotect. After it I imported it in my DB and apparently it is still not working. I've got an error message:

Vincent
The main problem is that ecotect has converted the day of the month into day of the year (hence error on day 32). I notice that their is only hourly data for temperature/humidity and wind and wonder if it is really worth trying to sort out this weather file. It sounds like you have used ecotect to convert the file format. The wea format can be converted using DesignBuilder (Tools-Hourly Weather Data). If much of the data is absent however you might be best to seperately source more suitable weather data directly in epw format.
Regards
Andrew

This is a known problem with Ecotect's export -- there are also other problems (or were) with their export to EPW.

At one point (probably still is), I had a CCF file for Ecotect to convert WEA files to EPW. It is/was on the Yahoo Groups EnergyPlus Support site. I will try to attach it here.

Also, you can use the EnergyPlus Weather Converter to convert wea files to EPW -- that would be what I would recommend as I worked quite a bit at taking their data and making sure it made sense in the translation.

Thanks Linda
The E+ Weather Converter is implemented in DesignBuilder (as discussed in my earlier post).
