|
|
Hello,
I have recently upgraded from DB version 1.8.1.001 to 2.0.0.016, and I am having problems with a building whilst running calculations on it.
Whilst the model is incomplete, I cannot run the calculations completely as they stop part way through giving me an error with no solution, and I don't wish to continue the model without first ensuring that it works.
I haven't tried backdating to the previous version of DB.
I have attatched the model here, it's quite complex, with different floors having to be made of seperate blocks etc. etc., but still is around 11000 sqm with around 150-200 rooms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gordon

I think I am having the same problem.
The error message is as follows:
"Assertion failed 1==1, file bo.cpp, line 1473"
"This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"
I can't revert to the old version because the accreditation company will no longer accept the old xml file, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Julian

Update, have tried backdating but the file wont open since it has been converted to the new version.
The error is still as follows (Part-way through SBEM calculations in the DOSbox)
:
:Windows Error
[Followed by]
:"SBEM calculations cancel or error"
Then after closing I'm back to the DB screen I started on.
Thanks.

We first raised this issue with BRE on 1 May but they still haven't responded in any meaningful way and have gone ahead and released SBEM 3.4.a without fixing it! Unfortunately there's nothing we can do until we get some assistance or a software update from BRE. Sorry for the inconvenience.

| Not particularly good news but I appreciate the swift response, are there any other versions of DB that can still be used to Lodge EPC's other than the current one?

Sorry that's it at the moment. I'll keep this thread up-to-date with any info on possible solutions as it comes in.

I've just heard from Jose Ortiz at BRE to let me know that they are looking into this problem at the moment. In the meantime watch this space for an update.
Please don't ask BRE support directly about it as they are already on the case. We'll feedback info on the solution through this forum thread when it is available.

A quick note to let you know that we've received an updated SBEM with a fix for this bug and hope to release an updated version of DesignBuilder on 14th May.

Hello
I was just wondering where you were at on the updated version of DB with the SBEM bug fix. I ask because I have built 5 models all of which have had problems calculating.
Would I need to build them again in the updated version?
Many thanks,
Paul

Hello Paul,
The new version will be available later today once we've finished testing.

Hi ,
I'm having the same errors when I try to calculate - I get the warning "SBEM calculations cancel or error" and then the calculation stops.
I'm using the lastest version of the software released today: Version 2.0.1.002
I'm also having problems removing the watermark from another model I made yesterday that did calculate, despite having activated SBEM using the 8 figure number.
Any further help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
|

OK thanks for letting me know about continued problems. To be honest I'm not sure what's wrong as the new version works fine at our end. Will continue investigations.

We may have found the reason for these problems. It turns out that the new version of SBEM doesn't support running dsb files located on a different computer. So please try saving your file on the local computer and running again and let me know how it goes?
