Hi there

Can you please let me know if Windcatchers need to be drawn onto the model and if so how would the windcatcher block be assigned.

At the moment I've drawn them as blocks within the roof but I can't seem to get them straight as they are on a pitched roof and the new blocks follow that line.

There is a tick box for Wind generation. Can I just tick that box and delete the blocks within the roof.

Thanks
Lisa

The functionality of a wind catcher cannot be modelled by SBEM. I presume it closed in the winter. You will probably have to ignore it and just consider the primary external envelope of the building.
If you do wish to draw them then you will probably need a horizontal plane on which to draw them: consider removing the roof for the time being. Use outline blocks and place them on the the flat roof-ceiling. When you add the pitched roof then you will be able to cut the wind catcher blocks along the plane of the roof.
Wind catchers are a passive cross-ventilation device. Wind generation is for specifying wind turbines used for electrical generation.
It's difficult to provide guidance without knowledge of the system.
Regards
Andrew
