|
|
I've created a simple bock and extruded another block from the vertical wall plane. DB seems to create a hole in the joining walls and looking at the visualisation for the main block 1 I can clearly see the hole. Block 2 there is no hole? Why would that be. Also if I visualise at Building Level the hole is not there and I can't see through both blocks.
Since the hole has already been added I can't add another to either wall, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

Darren it is not really a hole. It is just created by DB because when you have two blocks adjacent you could end up with two walls. DB describes this as a hole though it just removes the duplicate wall.

| Thanks Andrew, that explains it. So I take it to create the hole I would have to apply a hole to the extruded block not the original.

Darren
You should draw the hole in the surface marked as inter-block partition, it does not matter which block you draw it in.

Hi Andrew.
This doesn't seem to work.
I've applied the hole to the partition but when I go back to visualisation at building level I can't see through the two blocks. The internal partition is still there. I've ensured that the Merge zones connected by holes is ticked.

Thanks for alerting us to this issue Darren
This is a known issue with the current beta and is already fixed at our end. The fix will be in the next release due out in the next couple of days. The issue does not affect calculations.
Regards
Andrew

Darren
If you download the latest beta (2.1.0.003) you should find that it's all working fine now.
Regards
Andrew
