How to export a 3D dwg file from AutoCAD so that I can open it in the DesignBuilder?
I have read about it in the forums. I have to convert it into gbXML format. But I am not able to get this format from AutoCAD 2010. Please suggest me solution.

How to enter the X, Y and Z of our choice in the DesignBuilder to make a building according to out co-ordinates?

If I have made two buildings in a one file, how to put one on another. Means to say I am drawing 4 floors of the building according to my 2D map in the designbuilder, then how to club them togethere?

to type coordinates simply select the draw tool of choice, and type in the x, y and z with spaces to seperate them.

Try first to draw a 2d door on a surface: select the surface, click the draw door tool, and type "1 2", i.e. 12 for a 1 x 2 m door area.

Yes it is working but for x y and z. its not working....
i have tried for 2D it is fine... But for 3D co-ordinates it's not..
I want to draw points which are :

(X, Y, Z)
A 650673.7350, 6855175.0403, 100.0058
B 650689.6871, 6855168.0900, 100.0058
C 650689.2426, 6855168.3895, 111.5460
D 650673.8039, 6855176.2621, 111.5648
E 650705.7890, 6855189.8070, 100.9333
F 650701.6159, 6855197.2543, 111.5330
G 650685.3605, 6855204.2959, 111.5450

It is not working with these points.

I think you may be right. I know that usually I start drawing from the origion 0,0,0. To do this, I select the draw tool and type "0 0", which snaps the pen onto the origion 0,0. I then pick a direction by pointing the mouse cursor in a direction (usually x or y), but without clicking. Instead of clicking, I type in the length I want in that direction, e.g. "10" for 10 m. I then draws a line in that direction 10 m long.

I've not been able to draw as you discribe with coordinates for x,y and z. I don't know if you can.

I am doing this but its not drawing as you can draw in the AutoCAD. With these points that I have mentioned in my last post.

Do you know any person who can help me in this regard?

Perhaps the best way to start would be to go over the Tutorials.

You do not need to draw the floors in separate files. once you draw, say 1st floor, you can then bring the dxf drawing of 2nd floor at the height of 1st floor. You can also move the dxf file around. I hope it helps.

I don't think gbXML export import is standard with AutoCad...you probably have to buy some sort of BIM extension package.

Mudit,
I am not sure if you went through the tutorial or not. Once you understand how DB modeler work you would be able to create any 3D model including the one with the coordinate you mentioned. If your roof is not flat, you can use DB cutting tool to create the desired slope. I hope it helps..
