Release v2.2 (not currently available for download) will use the latest SBEM (v3.5.a). Data requirements in this version are changed from the previous version and so conversion may require users to check the assumptions made in the conversion and in some cases to provide additional information.
Note that v3.5.a is the formal release version of what was previously referred to as v3.4.b.
For RoI assessments
1.You will need to enter the year the building was constructed.
2.Your BER certificate will incorporate the watermark 'Provisional' until you specify this is a 'Final'. This can be changed using Building Model Options.
3.A Meter Point Registration Number (MPRN) now replaces the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN), check this is correct.
For UK assessments
1.The Related Party Disclosure can now take one of twelve possible statements. Please make sure that the one set is correct for your project (Building Model Options).
2.There is a new field (Transaction Type) to explain why an EPC has been provided.
For All assessments
1.For DHW with storage if you have not specified a storage loss then it will be assumed that the cylinder is uninsulated. This can be reassigned according to the type of insulation and thickness.
2.If you have a solar system (PV or Solar Thermal) you will need to check the orientation is correct as this field can now be set to the eight individual cardinal (N,S,E,W) and Intermediate (NE,SE,SW,NW) directions.
3.The definition of solar thermal is much more extensive and you will need to check if the assumptions carried through are correct.
4.It is now possible to set the frame percentage in your windows. This will default to 10% for windows and 30% for rooflights and you will need to reset them if this is not appropriate.
DesignBuilder software expect to release V2.2 with SBEM 3.5 approved by Friday this week.
Regards
