Hi,
If I draw a component block as a floor structure between two floors (that's cause it has a weird shape and it overhangs from the building), how does it thermally works?
I have drawn the perimeter of my building from a .dxf file. Now I draw a component block with the same .dxf file, but I can't put it together, I mean, one next to the other. This is because I want to create a component block for shadding a circle part of the building, but I can't do it.
Thank you for your help!!! |

Hi
You can't use component blocks in that way to split the building up. The nearest thing to that would be to use the cutting tool to split a single tall block into multiple floors.
The usual approach is to draw each floor separately and if some parts of the floor are cut away then draw a hole in the appropriate floor surface.

Hi Andy,
thanks for your answer., I don't know if I have understood you correctly. So I can“t use component blocks as structure, only for shading?
Is there any difference if I join different component blocks or if I don't? I can't do it becasuse there are always interjections...
Thanks! |
