|

I've recently been doing some Part L SBEM work under the latest regs and have a few buildings struggling to pass.
I notice the lighting energy consumption for the actual buildings is always way in excess of that for the notional building. Even when I have a decent spec. (T5 and LED with PIR and daylight sensors) it still appears to 'fall short'.
I appreciate the building can make up for this in other aspects but I just wondered if anyone could explain why the notional lighting figure is so low? |

Design specs are generally best if you have them. Buildings with generic lighting types have always been difficult to get through regs. Of course there may be other issues here.
