|
|
Just upgraded to v3. I added my first DHW system with no problems. When I try to add a second, I get an error pop up saying
'Storage loss must be either 'autosize' or between 0.0000 MJ/month and 1000000.0000 MJ/month'
I am trying to add two new systems; one with 7l storage the other instantaneous only and in each case, I am not using the 'Use Loss' radio button.
Strangely, if I do choose 'Use Loss' and put in 0.0000, it then pops up an error about loop length, despite secondary circulation not being selected.
Not had this problem before - any ideas? |

I'm not getting these problems. Can you attach dsb or use Support Desk (can put fao: Andrew): I guess this may be a problem if you are not managing to create the systems but perhaps you can attach the base file for me to try and create them.
Regards

Look out for version 3.0.0.050 (or later) which should be released shortly and includes a modification to fix this DHW problem. Note that this seems to have crept into version 3.0.0.048 (and possibly 3.0.0.047), earlier versions do not exhibit this problem. It should be possible to load models (SBEM) created in v3.0.0.048 into v3.0.0.027 or later.

I get this problem as well. If you enter details for a DHWS system using the loss tab, save the file then go back and change it to using the storage tab it seems to clear the problem.
Hope this helps as a quick fix until v050 comes out.

Hi Phil
Thanks for the tip, however this doesn't appear to work for me.
If I input storage loss, i just get another error - LOOP LENGTH must be autosize ...........
Does anyone have any other help on this issue??
I not have a back log of EPCs that need to be done, HELP!!! |

Unfotunately the error messages keep coming, but if you fill in the details for all the items, loop length, loss and pump power, click OK and then go back and change to the real values, it seems to clear the problem. You can put anything in so long as the software will accept it e.g 50m for loop length, 0.7w/m for loss and 0.17kW for pump power.
Not ideal but at least it gets you out of a hole. |

Version 3.0.0.050 can be obtained from the following link:
http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/downloadsv1/SetupDB300050.exe
This version may not be formally released as it only incorporates changes to deal with this DHW problem but there should be no concern about using it.
Apologies for the delay.
