Hi,

When calculating the energy consumption for a building with CHP I found one problem which I can't resolve. DesignBuilder (SBEM) seems to be using different DHW energy demand for the same building with CHP and without CHP. I looked into the SBEM Technical Manual, but found no reason, why the energy demand should be different. I have attached a model and xlsx spreadsheet ehich esplains what the difference is. In this model, the same building when modeled with CHP seems to have 5% lower DHW energy demand than without the CHP.

Can you please have a look and let me know if this is a bug or if there is a reason for this.

Thanks,

Ondrej

Had a quick look to see if the data sent by DesignBuilder to SBEM is correct with and without CHP and couldn't see any issues there so it seems to come down to how sbem is handling the data. I'll try and find out how sbem should be handling the data and get back to you.
Regards
Andrew
