I'm modelling a pretty large building tracing over an imported plan. The plan is unfortunately about 3mb.
To complete a partition, DB is currently processing for about 20 - 30 secs and I have probably another 100 or so to do.
Is this due to the number of zones and the size of the DB file? Is there a temporary fix whereby I could turn off certain options to perhaps speed things up a little?
By the way, I am using a reasonably powerful computer with DB and my operating system running on a SSD. |

Hi,
Most of the processing time involved in placing a partition goes into re-zoning the block. You can turn this automatic re-zoning off using the Model Settings dialog. Open the Model Settings dialog, go to the Drawing tools tab and then you can un-check the Automatic block zoning option (under the Miscellaneous Edit header). After you have finished editing the current block, you can force a re-zoning operation by using the Tools->Rezone block option.
Regards,
