Natural venting to sub cool ans vent rates

I want a building to have natural vents that open and close to povide summer time cooling. They should open during the night to provide sub cooling. In the cooling calc program I can not get the natural vent to change the time it opens and closes.

Also the natural vent has an option to change the natural vent rate. I thought that the program would calculate the ventilation rate through the natural vents.

To enable the calculation of natural ventilation you need to open the Model Options dialog (by selecting the 'Building model options' tool) and set the Ventilation option to 'Calculated'. To set the operational schedule for vents, select the Openings tab under 'Model Data' and click on the 'Vents' header under which you will see 'Operation' settings where you will be able to set the on/off operational times.

Currently natural ventilation is only calculated for simulation and not heating/cooling loads. You can however select a summer design week on the simulation calculation options dialog which will automatically select a week from the current weather data which exhibits the most extreme summertime conditions.
