Hi Andy,
I tried what you suggest but it doesn't work. When importing the file DB gives the following message:
"error importing file".
I don't know if I'm missing something...
best regards,
Miguel

Hi Miguel,
Could you please send me the file you are trying to import?
From memory, you want to import the file to allow you to use your latest library components. Did you realise that every time a file is loaded into a new version of the software the latest library components are loaded to the model automatically... so perhaps you just need to load your file into the latest version of DesignBuilder.

Miguel,
We have now fixed this problem and will provide a new version of the software which will allow you to import your model as soon as possible.
We are currently in the middle of externalising all of the text from DesignBuilder to allow it to be translated into other languages, but we hope to release a new version towards the end of May/beginning of June.
Regards
Andy

Miguel,
I forgot to mention that there is a prerelease version of DesignBuilder (v 1.1.2) on the web site with the file import problem fixed. I would recommend downloading and installing this.
Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,
I already downloaded it (and already unloaded it...)
I tried to import the file and it worked partially.
It imports the file, but lost some construction components (user components).
The reason to uninstall the new version was related to the fact that Cooling and Heating Design don't display any results!!!
One suggestion: when disposing a new beta versin, could you give information about the new features? In my opinion this would help to test it.
Best regards,
Miguel

Hi Miguel,
As you have noticed, importing buildings does not import construction components (or any other components you may have added to your model). This is a limitation of importing - only the geometry is imported.
I can't reproduce your problems with Cooling and Heating design in the beta test version - they seem to work fine at this end. Could you please send a model which shows this problem?
Yes, we always try to update the Revision History page of the website when we released a new version of the software, but this beta release was an exception. For your information, the main change is the fix of the file import problem you encountered.
Regards
Andy
