|
|
Its there any way to schedule a external shading device like a overhang or awning like device. The only schedulable shading devices exposed in DB seem to be blinds/curtains (in plane) types, not purpindicular shades (overhangs, awnings).
It there a way to do this? |

Troy,
It is not possible to schedule shading devices in DesignBuilder v1.1 (apart from summer/winter). EnergyPlus supports scheduled transmission coefficients for shading devices and we expect to add this option soon.

Summer/winter control would be sufficient.
But I dont see how to put a summer/winter control on an overhang in DB, how do you do it? |

My apologies for the incomplete response to your question. I should have mentioned that summer/winter control is possible with window shading devices (blinds etc) but that no scheduling is possible for local shading devices (overhangs, louvres, side fins etc).
We will prioritise development of scheduled local shading as well as better time control of window shading devices as it has been requested by other users as well.
