I was out of office for DB training so could not respond to your question. Thanks Andrew for the explanation.

It looks like you are getting these error message because you are running the idf file created in DB in different version of E+. You may be exporting the idf file from DB which uses ver 2.1 and then running this exported idf file "independently" using version 2.0 of E+ installed on your computer. You can either install the latest version of E+ or select Version 2.0.0.025 of E+ while exporting the idf file from DB.

Hi Esong,

I had some problems trying to extract the files from your archive, so cannot directly respond to your question. I believe maybe there was a problem with the file extension on them? I have, however, experienced a similar error when exporting from DB into EnergyPlus, so I would say Mahabir's response seems very likely to resolve your problems.

Hi,
I have worked out my problem under your suggestion! But I encountered another problem which I want discuss with you again. When I successfully open the idf file in EP-launch, I failed to find such as undergroud shopping mall block and office room zone and their 'activity and hvac compact parameters' as I defined in DB. How to deal with such problem? Could you tell me please? Thanks a lot!
