DB Model is too big.

Hello,
I am creating a db model for a nursing home with many different zones but am finding that the more I add, the worse it performs.

I cannot perform basic functions like moving or cloning blocks, anymore.

The db file is currently at 8mgs is this too large?

What can I do about this?

We have ordered a more powerful computer but I dont want to experience the same problems...

Current System
XP Professional 2002

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+
1.81 GHz 1 GB RAM

Should I be experiencing these problems at this stage?

Are you saying that your dsb file is 8mb? If so have you run a long simulation and saved hourly and/or sub-hourly results? I ask because these will cause large file sizes. Try saving without results from the File menu and seeing the file size then.

Hi, the backup file was 8mb, actual one is 1.4 mb! I have merged zones of same activity so its seems a bit better...thanks for you help. Seb
