Out of virtual memory

Hello,

I´m having problems with a simulation of an office building of 10 floors.

After 7-8 hours of simulation (I don´t know exactly cause I leave the computer running the simulation at night) this message appears in the screen: "Error reading Energy plus file or out of virtual memory"

What´s the matter? My computer has a 1.67 GHz processor and 1.00 GB of RAM. Maybe this is not enough to run the simulation?

Cristina,

The usual reason for this error is that you requested hourly or sub-hourly results for the whole year. This will always cause problems for a large buildings (I don't think that having lots of memory helps). You should only request hourly results for selected design periods to check the model is working correctly, then once you are confident in the model turn off hourly results and run annual simulations.
