I am adding a sunspace on to a main building. I have done this be creating them as seperate blocks. When I put a french window from the sunspace into the main building it only goes through the sunspace wall and not through the main building wall as well (it appears as a bricked up window).
Should I have made the whole building bigger and partitioned it instead of using 2 blocks?
I seem to get the same problem when I make a hole for a stairwell in a ground floor block ceiling. When I drop a first floor block on top, the hole does not appear in the floor. Do I have to make holes from both sides which seems fiddly or am I missing something?
Regards,
Bobby
PS What is the best way to search the support forum?

Bobby,
There may be a small gap between the blocks. You should be able to create two block side by side. Try redrawing it.
The hole creation in ceiling should work fine. You do not need to create hole from both sides.

Dear Sir,
When I draw hole for staircase, I compared between drawing hole on one side only (ceiling of ground floor), and drawing holes on ceiling of ground floor as well as on the floor of first floor. I get two different results for these. How can it be?
Thanks,
Rahmi

Rahmi,
If the hole is created on the ceiling of the lower zone then it would automatically be created on the floor of the zone directly above. I am not sure how were you able to create another hole on top of another one. You may want to upload your models. .
thanks,
Mahabir

Dear Mahabir,
I have tried to attach my model, however it does not work. Is there any suggestion?

Dear Rahmi,
It may be due to large file size. You can save the models without results - Go to File/Save/Save without Output results..

Rahmi,
The hole for staircase is the same (6.632 m2)for the ceiling of Lt.Dasar/Zone1 and for the floor of Lt.2/Zone 1. The layout also show the staircase in Green both on the floor and ceiling. So, I am not sure how were you able to create the hole on top of another hole of the same size. I may be missing the point here.

OK Mahabir,
I have checked it again, maybe I was wrong.
Thanks a lot.
