I have been trying to do round or arched windows in DB (see attached file), but have not had luck with them translating to e+. I exported the IDF (see attached IDF) to make sure the geometry worked out, but it tries to reduce them to triangular windows. I understand the need for this, but my window is missing "pieces" (see dxf output in pdf). Anyway to get this to work? Or are improvements needed in future versions?

Another thing I am worried about with this is whether, by creating triangular windows, I know have "frames" between two adjacent triangles that do not actually exist.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In your model, the missing window triangles have been removed by DesignBuilder as they are smaller than the minimum filter area. The default minimum Filter area to export to E+ is 0.05m2 but you can change this to any other value. Setting it to zero will give you the window segments you expect. You can find the filter setting on the Advanced tab of the Model options dialog.

Window frames are not (cannot) be applied to non-rectangular windows so this will not be an issue for you.
