Calculations timing!!

Hello Support Team,

I'm having some trouble when performing Heating, Cooling or Simulation calculations...
It's taking too (much) long... I've merged zones by "holes" and "activity", I've reduced calculation to 1 per hour, daily (sometimes even monthly)...and It stills take an eternity to finish.
For instance, and the worst case, when performing Simulation it takes nearly 3 hours!!

What else can i do in order to make it faster?

Hi Xico,

Having same problems!!!

There's not much you can do to make it go faster i'm affraid.
But there are some things which make a simulation slow.

Offcourse, large buildings with alot of zones make large and slow simulations.
Alot of windows make slow simulations.
Calculated natural ventilation make slow simulations.
Also local shading can make slow simulations.

All these points can cause slow simulations in designbuilder.
So ask the question, whats nessecary in my simulation?

If it doesn't help, maybe a faster PC.
But in my experience, a state of the art PC is not much faster then an average normal PC.

tks for your reply.

Unfortunately, all the items you mentioned are necessary in my simulation (exception to calculated NV).
I have few "living" zones to simulate in a 3000m2 building, but I also have many many component blocks
...and I believe the problem lies there!

If you have new ideas, please let me know.I'll do the same.
