I want to be sure that I understand the coooling proces in DB.
I want to cool a space when the temperature in the space exceeds 25°C. The cooling needs to ensure that the temperature stays 25°C.
The 'cooling setpoint temperature' is in my opinion the temperature of the air blown into the space. Ok?
(BTW, Is there a way to simulate a cool system which works radiative ? Like a cooling ceiling? )
I use the compact HVAC model. Where do I choose the setpoint from which inside temperature I want to start cooling ?
The cooling set point temperature on the activity tab is the air temperature above which cooling operates - it is not the temperature of the air being delivered into the space.
When using Compact HVAC VAV system, you can define the off-coil temperatures at the building level under the Cooling header.
In Simple HVAC it is not possible to define the off-coil temperature - you simply define the heating and cooling set points and EnergyPlus calculates the heating/cooling loads required to meet them.
