|
|
Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to simulate an internally induced flow in a room due to an external wind profile, given particular inlet and outlet sizes and shapes. Also, if that simulated flow would include bouyancy effects.
Also would like to know if bouyant effects can be simulated for a room in the absence of external wind.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Tomas,
The only way you can account for wind effect in internal DB CFD analyses is to specify inflow and outflow flow rates for the various external openings such as windows, doors and vents. You can either specify these flow rates manually or you can automatically import the results from an EnergyPlus simulation that has included calculated natural ventilation.

DB CFD automatically accounts for buoyancy effects in all non-isothermal calculations.
