Hi to all,
I would like to simulate a building which has not conditioned suspended ceiling between floors(which are conditioned). How should I build the building?I need to build it creating a block for 1st floor, an other block for suspended ceiling and then again a 3d block for the next floor?I have checked help but I don't reach on how to do it exactly.
Thanks a lot

Yes you can model the unconditioned suspended ceilings in the way you suggest with a block for the ceiling zone. In this case make sure you are using correct floors and ceilings between ceiling zone and occupied zones.

If you don't plan to model ceilings as plenum zones then you could consider ignoring them (i.e. assume that conditions in the ceiling voids are similar to those in the occupied space). This is a commonly employed technique I believe and justified by the fact that the material between the 2 zones is often just ceiling tiles with no insulation and without any sealing so air can pass.

You should be able to find discussion on this topic on the Bldg-Sim forum.
