terrace model

Hi andy

Im just trying to make a simple model of a wood house. in order to complete it, I need to make a wood terrace, but i dont find how to do it.
I cant either add a building, because it will affect the results (adjacent zone), neither add a surface.
Can you help me with this problem?

Hi Franck,

It sounds like you want to add a Terrace for the visualisation effect rather than the thermal effect. In this case you should create a Terrace as a Component Block. Component blocks cast shadows and reflect heat and light, but otherwise do not take part in the thermal simulations. You can set the construction of the block. More information on component blocks can be found in the on-line help.
