Hello,

Is there any progress in adding multi-threaded processing to speed up the building simulations?
We are simulating large building sites, and as we need more detailed information on the building, i can't decrease the number of zones or windows or shadings.

Our simulations run up to 6 hours of calculating.

Adding the multi-threaded processing to designbuilder would be a big advantage. Then we can use the Quadruple core processors to the max.

There is no immediate prospect of getting EnergyPlus to run a single simulation any faster by using multithreaded code - this would require a partial rewrite of the EnergyPlus calculation engine which is not under consideration. We are planning to investigate the possibility for running multiple simulations in parallel but this won't speed up individual simulations.
