Modelling of Evaporative Cooling

Hi Andy

I would like to model domestic/small commercial direct evaporative cooling units where the outside air is drawn through pads that have water recirculating through them then exhausted into the living/office space. What is the best HVAC template to model them?

Hi Charles,

DesignBuilder v.1 does not allow you to model evaporative cooling units but you could create your building model in DB and export in idf form and add your HVAC system directly using IDF data.

DB Version 2 will provide a much wider range of system and component types.
