I have some energy plus weather data files that I have tried to import into DB. I put them through the conversion tool (not quite sure why as I had a complete set of files including stats etc - but this seemed to be what I was being told to do).
When I try to read them into an hourly weather data template I get an error message. The weather data seems to load but non of the stats load, e.g. design data.
I've tried loading the unconverted files and the converted ones. Any ideas what is going wrong?
BTW - is the forum the best place to get help? I put this topic in as a support email ticket yesterday morning and still haven't had a response. Not sure if it got through.
Please bear in mind that in the Hourly weather data dialogue when you click on the browse button to find the hourly weather epw file DesignBuilder by default looks in the wrong folder in versions earlier than 1.5.0.029. I would recommend getting the latest beta version (it will be released as a full version in the next few days) and this opens up the correct weather data folder. So provided your epw file and .stat file are in the correct weather data folder and you select the correct file from this folder (note not c:\program files\DesignBuilder\weather data but the folder accessed when you click on File > Folders > Weather data) it should work OK.
Sometimes you can get an answer to your questions faster on the public forum because more DesignBuilder experts are likely to see them than with the private e-mail support system.
The log in problem I mentioned seperately was, I think, because I was automatically already logged in and hadn't realised it. Perhaps I was getting an error message trying to log in twice?
