Hi Laurent,
I start a new topic just to have the questions/answers in 'small packages'. Thak you very much for the previous answers.
So, I continue asking:
1) The support team here is the same as in the Support Desk?
2) In Site Details -> Location -> Ground, it's possible to define the construction of the ground. It should be of 0.5m all materials togheter?? (I say this because, if I don't missremeber, the Ground Temperatures Energy Plus calculates are for 0.5m depth).
5) My building's floor is loosing too much energy by the ground. I used an adiabatic floor and the change is impressionant. So, I went to Site Details and changed the Ground Construction using other materials and thickness, so that the U-Value have different values (from 1 to 0,01), but the energy lost by the floor keeps being exactly the same, it doesn't make much sense, so what's happening? How is the program calculating the energy flow trhough floor and ground?

Carlos |

Hello Carlos,
1) Support Desk is DesignBuilder only support. On the Forum we are quite few more experienced user helping as much as possible.
2) there are two thinks to well understand : ground with its monthly temperature and an optional 'ground construction' to add between ground and zone wall or slab. This Ground Construction could be set only to add some thermal mass near surface adjacent to ground.
5) Changing U-value ground construction should change your results in my opinion but don't forget that the Slab construction is just behind and could have a high resistance, minimizing ground construction importance.
Especially, if you define your ground slab as adiabatic.
So I don't know what is exactly your settings but I suggest to have a look to this help topic to clear your mind about Ground Construction position:

Hi,
I read again about ground construction and I think the reason because adding a very low U-value to the ground construction didn't affect much the results is because there was so much heat flux that the thermal mass of the ground construction rapidly saturated (because that mass only works for adding thermal mass, it's not taken into account for a complete simulation).
Well, new questions:
1) I want to export the results of the simulation to a cvs file, ho do I do it?
2) After having the csv file, I need to edit it, hope you know how to work on excel. The first thing is that having all the hourly temperatures for the year, I need to produce a 'typical day' for each month (i.e, the T at 0:00 averaged over the 30 days, the T at 01:00 averaged over the 30 days, etc.)
