|
|
Hello
What could be the best HVAC templates to use in Building (Supermarket) with the following system:
2 Zones
Heat Pump (1 water loop for Heating + 1 water loop for Cooling) that supply:
1 AHU with Heat Recovery (1 Zone)
1 AHU with Fan-Coil (1 Zone)
1 Zone
Split System + Exhaust Fan
The rest of the zones only have Exhaust Fans.
Even if there isnīt an "ideal" solution on DB, maybe I could use one near, and then detail it on EPlus.
I would appreciate an urgent answer.
Best Regards

Hello,
It seems you need only to change the plant size part of your model.
If I were you I will use Compact systems: 'unitary single zone' for the split system, 'CAV' for the AHU with heat recovery, 'Fan coils' for last zone.
Once done, export the EnergyPlus file and look for the Boiler and Chiller objects generated. Replace them by Heat pump objects you want.
The main problem will be in correctly connect heat pump to hot/chilled water loop. Keep the initial file and use the exact name of nodes (inlet, outlet...) to avoid errors.
Good luck!

Hi Laurent
Thank you for your answer.
I think that I can not connect an Air/Water Heat Pump to the loops.
What do you think of connecting instead an electric chiller and an electric boiler?

Hi,
Well, if you mean to use electric devices to feed your water loop, it is the same as non electric ones.
You will have to connect water loops to the plant.
Have a look to the idf file exported by DB and to E+ documentation to evaluate the effort.
Sorry to not helping more.
