Hello,
I'm modelling a large building that consist of several 3-storey wings connected by a circulation corridor. I modelled it as one large building, and now the problem is to show results of one wing (which consists of more zones).
Isn't it a better option to model every wing as a separate building? But then, can you still see overall results for the whole site?
regards,
Hannes

Hello,

There is no integrated means to display multizone data. Of course you can export all your zone data in csv and sum them in a spreadsheet.

If you model the wings as different buildings take care that thermal interaction won't be taken into account. Simulation is done for ONE building only.

May be you can also paste your project, delete everything except the wing you want to study, add adiabatic components to replace the building parts you've deleted.
In this case, the building totals will correspond to the wing only.

Regards,
Laurent

Thanks,
I modelled the wings as separate buildings and the fact that there is no heat transfer between them is no problem. The problem now is that I have the impression that surfaces adjacent to other buildings are not set to adiabatic boundary condition automatically, like it is the case for adjacent building blocks.
Is there an other solution then changing the hundreds of surface adjancency settings to adiabatic?
Regards, Hannes

Hi,

Yes, you're right two buildings set beside does not automatically change your surfaces to adiabatic.

You can do it quickly drawing a simple Component Block of type Adiabatic on all you façade.
To do this take care to click on your building corresponding to the wing then add the Component.

Regards,

Thanks Laurent,
it should be interesting then to have the possibility to change a building block to a component block.
