Hi,

I only found one setpoint temperature for heating and one for cooling in Activity Tab.

Where do I define the monthly schedule for both heating and cooling setpoint temperatures???

Carlos,
You can define the schedule for heating/cooling under the HVAC tab. You would need to check heating/cooling on..

Mahabir,

Under HVAC tab there are the options to activate Heating nor Cooling, and do have a schedule, but it is for "Operation" (turned on, off or setback), not for defining the setpoint temperatures.

DB Support, where is the setpoint temperatures schedule defined???

Carlos,

The HVAC operation is used for defining your setpoint temperatures. The following article may help in understanding the setpoint temperature definition in DB.

Mahabir,

"Operation of heating and cooling equipment is defined by selecting a Schedule under the Heating, Cooling and Operation headers on the HVAC tab. These schedules are used to generate both the heating/cooling availability schedule and the temperature setpoint schedules used in the simulations. Schedule values greater than 0.5 indicate the system is in full operation controlling temperature to the main heating/cooling setpoint, values between 0 and 0.5 indicate the equipment in setback mode and values of 0 indicate that the equipment is switched off."

"Equipment is controlled using the main temperature setpoint (Activity tab)"

i. e. the schedule only says if HVAC is working, is in setback mode or is switched off, using, Always the Main Temperature Setpoints. There is no such a thing like monthly temperature setpoints schedule, despite EnergyPlus do has the option.

Carlos,
I agree current version of DB does not allow that option. This option would be included in near future. In the meantime you would need to export idf file and define the set point temperatures in idf file.

Mahabir
