I have to model a residential complex having 512 houses. These houses are spread over 5 buildings having 20-30 floors in each building.
How should I define zones in DB to reduce the time required for simulation and at the same time not compromising on the quality of results?
Simulation time for a building about 100 houses will be expensive.
I suggest that :
* you draw only ground floor, a middle floor and the upper one
* you add adiabatic component blocks in place of other stories
* for each house, merge zone that have same exposition, ventilation, etc to avoid creating partitions and zones not really significant
* or may be create a complete apartment only to get fine grain outputs but use general stories for annual energy calculation
This is usual strategies we use. _________________ Laurent
