detached shadowing

Gents,

I am running a simulation, close to the building I am working on there is a tall property wall facing the west side and screening most of the summer - afternoon solar radiation.
The wall is 6m far from the facade.
How can I model it, could I create a new building shaped as that shadowing elements?

You can either use component blocks or a second building to model the building that shades your building.

Generally, it is best to use one or more component blocks. These provide shading and reflection, but do not slow down simulations with unnecessary zone calculations.

If you need a good visualisation image of the building that shades your building, then you may prefer to create a second building. In this case, be sure to set the "Include all buildings in shading calcs" option for cooling design and simulation calculations.
