|
|
Hi,
I'm testing the DB, and I've created some different component data and templates (in the component library screen).
The problem was when I tried to import the new components from the "library component" to the "model component" (a model that I created before).
In the help you comment that "you can copy a Model component to the library", but I want to copy a component library to the model!!!
thanks |

Hi jlao,
Library components are loaded into the dsb file at the point it is created and, at the moment, it is not possible to load new library components to existing models. This capability is on our Development list and should be included in version 1.3.
One DesignBuilder user got round this problem by creating a new file (thus loading the latest library components) then importing the building from the previous file.
It might be worth trying this approach. Please let me know if it works for you.
Regards

You should find that the latest library components are automatically loaded into your model when you load a file into a new version of the software. The loading process happens whenever the version of the software is different from the version of the file.
We will be introducing a new feature to allow library components to be explicitly loaded to the model soon.

DesignBuilder version 1.2 allows library components to be imported into models. So now you can export model components to the library from one model and then import them from the library to another model.
