I think there is a bug in the last beta versions.
When you draw a smaller block on a larger one, both the roof of the block below and the floor of the block on top are incorrect. DB does not divide the surface between both blocks.

Thanks for reporting this, we have fixed this problem now and will be releasing a new beta test version with the fix soon.
