|
|
Hi,
I'm comparing different architectural facades options' impacts on cooling/heating loads, including orientations under hot arid climate (Cairo).. spaces have adiabatic enclosure elements except one main facade,
Shouldn't the cooling load pattern be proportional with solar gains for each orientation? as all other heat gains/losses are insignificant and have same pattern for all facades?
This doesn't to seem right especially in sothern orientation..any possible reasons?
Thank you, Your replies are very appreciated

Hi Abeer
I know you've posted long ago, but before sending a new topic I decided to search for a similar one already posted.
I'm designing in Sydney, and having the same problem. At peak time, I'm having double the solar gains compared to sensible cooling for the same zone (note, I don't have any internal loads i.e. equipments, people nor lights)
So, I was expecting that solar gains through window and sensible cooling would be fairly similar. I've tried for a couple of models, and I'm getting same results.
have you ever managed to solve/ understand that issue?
Much appreciated
Regards
