Hi,
I've just a little precision to ask you about 'Floors (int)' and 'Ceilings (int)' gains which appear in simulation results.
My model is very basic: a rectangular block with a pitched roof. There is not ceiling, I mean a hole takes all the ceiling surface between the roof and the block.
In the simulation results, there are very little gains values for internal floors and ceilings.
I'm not preoccupied by their value (every thing is OK), it's only that I was wondering what kind of heat transfer they represent.
Are they heat energy going through my hole ?
'Floors (int)' and 'Ceilings (int)' gains in simulation results represent the heat flow towards the zone at the surface of opaque internal floor and internal ceiling elements. So in your case this data represents the heat flow through the small border (which EnergyPlus requires) around the hole in the roofspace floor.
