On the attached model the daily heating electricity for the week simulated does not correspond to the monthly amount. E.g. if you add up all the days electricity it does not come to the amount shown on the monthly use graph. However, for room electricity the daily and monthly do correspond. I also checked hourly against daily and these roughly correspond for both room and heating. Am I missing something?

To update you on this problem. I have done a bit of research by doing a weeks design and then exporting the monthly, daily and hourly gains for comparison. The daily and hourly correlate for all gains. The weekly and monthly correlate for some gains but not for others. I can see what has happened which is that some of the gains have been factored up to provide the monthly data based on the average for the week. However, it is not consistent as some gains have not been averaged. At first I thought it might be only the occupancy based gains that are not factored up but external infiltration is also not factored up. Please see attached spreadsheet. I think these ought to be made consistent.
My other problem is that in DB 1.2 I can no longer get the fuel breakdown for different blocks or zones but only for the whole building.

Thank you for reporting this. The problem with monthly output only occurs when you carry out simulations of part months, for example when you do a summer design week simulation. I have made a change now to prevent any monthly output from being generated for months which are not fully covered by the simulation.
Regarding monthly fuel breakdown, this has only ever been available at the building level.

Andy

I would not disable the monthly output where only a week has been analysed since it is a useful way to add up the weeks output (gains, energy consumption etc.) without having to manually add the days. If you could just get it so it only adds up for the period simulated.
Even daily or hourly fuel breakdown can only be seen at building level. I thought I had seen it at block and zone level in previous versions of DB. In any case it is something that would be useful to enable the electricity consumption of different zones of a building to be analysed.

Good point - this is how we have implemented it in the end.
