Hi Andy,

Our values differ from the ones you use, changing the calculated U-values.

Is it possible to adjust the Inner and Outer Surface property data in U-value calculations?

Hi Miguel,

No you can't change the internal and external surface property values in current versions of DesignBuilder, but we will be making a change to allow access to this data soon.

Please be aware that EnergyPlus does not use the precalculated surface resistance values displayed on the Calculated tab of the construction and glazing dialogs. These are intended for use in simpler calculation methods which are being developed for local building regulations compliance checking etc.

Please let me know more about your requirements. Do you want to fix surface convective heat transfer coefficients in EnergyPlus simulations to particular values?
