| Does this function work in the current version? I've always imported 2-D files but am considering requesting some 3-D versions for a project or two. |

Yes 3-D import to DesignBuilder from Revit, ArchiCAD and Microstation works well; however it is important to add the caveat that it all depends on the care with which the spatial (3-D zone) identification is carried out in the CAD software.
To help with this we are finishing off a DB Revit plugin that allows a Revit operator to check the resultant DesignBuilder model before exporting the file and actually export a dsb file instead of a gbXML file. The first release of the plugin should be released in January 2011.

Hey. Did this plug-in get released??
If so, could you please send me the link. This would definitely be helpful.

Yes the DesignBuilder Revit plugin is installed with current v3 betas. However it only currently only supports 32-bit Revit which is why we haven't promoted it yet. A 64-bit version of our plugin will be available soon.
