How to get to the Daylight detailed maps

HI.

its a question asked before.

I have never been able to get to the new detailed maps.

I run a simple model with a few windows in... and there isn't anything to guide me to where the info is created.

i've looked in the energy plus folder for something...but there is no recognisable file that suggests a map is created.

Please oh please....where are they? and why cant you get to them as a report item?

Click on the Daylighting tab. Then click on a zone. If no map is available, you will be presented with a dialog that allows you to create one.

But where is the tab....are you on version 2.4.2.016?

im on 2.3.6.005!!

It is only available in the beta versions

how do you get to them in the proper versions?

but where is the map output now.....

I have only got the daylight map outputs on so the simulations are quick....

i have no idea where they are?

You can find the daylight maps generated by EnergyPlus in the EnergyPlus folder in a file called eplusmap.csv. See:

The map file is only generated for zones with daylight control requested.

You would be much better off with the Radiance daylighting map outputs from the v2.6 betas though.
