| I can figure out how to assign zones. If it draw a partition, DB autoassigns which side belogns to which zone. How do I assign which is which, or if I want to assign a zone to a floor (no partitions)? |

Answering your last question first, if the block is made up of a single thermal zone, then there is no need to draw any partitions. You will notice in the navigator that the block has a single zone.
When you draw a partition to divide an undivided block into two zones, the two new zones take on the Model Data of the original zone and so there is no need to differentiate between the two new zones. Just name them and set Model Data as appropriate.
I'm not sure if I have answered your question and if not please let me know.

Andy,
Maybe I didn't clearly state my question.
1. If I have a 2 story building, and want to set the 1st floor to zone 1, and the second floor to zone 2, how do I do that?
2. If if I draw a partition on 1 floor of a multi-floor building, DB automatically determines which side of the partition will be zone 1 and which zone 2. The zone 1 side gets lumped with the other floors which are also zone 1, while zone 2 is modeled as a separate zone. If I want to assign which side of the partition is zone 1 and which is zone 2, how do I do it? |

Troy,
The way to set building, block and zone names is to select them in the navigator and then left click on the name again using the mouse to start editing the text. This is exactly the same process as you use when renaming folders in Windows Explorer.
We will add a specific name changing function in a future version to make this much clearer.
