I noticed on the home page that v3 will also include Level 5 analysis however the beta version software (download area) doesn't mention anything regarding this.
I'm sure DB team is working very hard to implement HVAC and Radiant features which all look very exciting and has probably been a lot of hard work and huge amounts of programming but do you have any timeline for Level 5?
One of the main reasons I opted to learn and use DB over the past few years was the promise that level 5 would be implemented "shortly".
Can you please provide a timeline for this?

Lev,

Sorry for the delays with the Level 5 software. We have actually made good progress with our level 5 implementation and now have a specific user interface mode in place as well as a full calculation framework with EPCs being generated and displayed. There is still more work to be done, but there is clear light at the end of tunnel now and our current best estimate for level 5 approval for either of our DBSim or EnergyPlus simulation engines is December this year.

Is this still the case Andy? Could we see Level 5 EPC approval for DesignBuilder this December? I seem to be turning more and more Level 5 jobs away because I use DesignBuilder.

Doug,

We are still finishing off our Level 5. We did submit a preliminary approval test case last week and are waiting to hear back from Landmark whether they will process it. Being realistic we are probably still a couple of months away from approval I suspect but it's hard to say as we still don't know yet how stingent the new approval process will be.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering what the status of everything was.
