HVAC setting on Office Building

Dear Andy,

Currently, my project is deal with the cooling design. How do i set the HVAC in office building? The building that i modelled is using centralized air conditioning without heating. Which HVAC template should i use?

Dear Kashirachiam,

You could use the VAV HVAC template and switch off heating on the HVAC model data tab at building level.

Please be aware that the cooling design calculations in DesignBuilder use the EnergyPlus 'purchased air' system to calculate the required sensible cooling loads to achieve the setpoint temperatures specified on the Activity tab. So the precise system type you choose is probably not too critical if you are only going to use the cooling design calculations.
