I'm trying to model a house with dormers. I can't figure out a way. I can't gloss over the dormers, because there are lots of windows in them (ie. solar gain). Can't make the roof flat to accomdate windows, cause the interior volume and sun strike angle are different.

There is quite a detailed description of how to create dormer windows in DesignBuilder using outline blocks in the on-line help. Please download the latest version and search for 'dormer'.
Don't forget to connect the small gable block to the main roof block by drawing a hole in the connecting surface. If you have the 'Merge zones connected by holes' building model option switched on, the gable zone is merged with the adjacent roof zone.
