Hello!

I have a question about "detailed gains", I can't see the option for the "fraction heat loss" in the tab. There is only "radiant fraction" and "latent fraction".
This a problem because I am trying to simulate an oven, the consumption is well calculated but all this watts are transformed in heat gains!!! So the temperatures are really high in the room containing the oven!
Do you have an idea?

Thank you very much!

Hello,

My first idea is to reduce your total heat gain by the lost part, managing only the convective and/or radiant portion.

I may be not clear so this an example:
Total gain 1000 W, lost 20%, radiant 30%, convective 50%.
In this case, I think you could set your equipment at 800 W and 37.5% radiant, 62.5% convective.

Hope it answers correctly to your problem.

Hello,

thank you for your answer. This could effecively work but the heat gain temperature is as much important that the overall consumption of the project.
So this method can work to see what is the real temperature in the room but I have to add manually a part of the consumption of the oven.
For information this is a "0 energy project", I have to produce as much energy that I consume, that's why the overall consumption of the project is important!

Regards,
Thomas

Hello,

OK, I understand. I'm afraid that by now you have only an alternative:
1) adding your lost energy after simulation
2) use Process gain in Early Gains mode (they have lost fraction available)

Sorry to tell you better.

Laurent
