Dear Sir,
I just re-simulate a case file using new weather data. I did not change any input data except the weather data and location. However, I found error message :

I can tell this is a Meteonorm 6 generated weather file -- at least the original. Was it directly downloaded from the EnergyPlus Support (yahoo group) site?
If not, something has messed up in the interim.
Meteonorm weather files should be used with caution though version 6 will produce EPW files directly. _________________ Linda

Dear Linda,
Thanks for your explanation. The weather data was generated originally using Meteonorm 6. So, what do you mean by 'messed up in the interim'? What should I do then with the weather data?
Thanks

Our Jakarta file (produced by Meteonorm 6) that is posted on the EnergyPlus Support website (Yahoo groups) looks fine. I have not tried it yet in DB.
I meant if someone had taken the MN6 file and edited it somehow. That could have messed up that particular header. _________________ Linda

Dear Linda,
I have taken the file from yahoogroups, and it worked in DB. Thanks a lot.

Halo again,
Why I can't use the .epw which is directly generated using Meteonorm 6? I tried to generate other city, i.e, ID_Semarang.
Thanks

Ours are generated directly from MN6 as well I think though it may be that the person that does it also runs it through the weather converter to generate the stats, etc files. I'll ask him. _________________ Linda

Dear Linda,
I have found that the main cause of the error was the (comma) ',' sign and (point) '.' sign generated by meteonorm, which is depend on the regional setting of the computer. I have changed the setting of my computer, (change the decimal sign using point '0.00' instead of comma '0,00'), and the problem is now solved.
I apologise for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Rahmi |

Thanks for the info on that. That can be a problem on occasion. I'll be on the alert if others report similar problems with Meteonorm files. _________________ Linda
