...looking for a way to improve accuracy and speed up production, I found that DesignBuilder can help me do both.

Roy Redhead, RJR Independent Energy Assessors

I was looking for a way to improve accuracy and speed up production and found that DesignBuilder is capable of helping me do both. Complex roof structures and multi zone properties can be created so quickly it eliminates tedious and seemingly endless hours on area calculations for individual zones. Not only can I get to the end result more quickly but it makes running the recommendations back through the model simple and the information to the client much more valuable.

No need for a calculator now, simplify adding offices to Portal frame buildings, saw tooth roofing with complex angles are so easy. Using templates of the types of building visited regularly in my area means I can enter entire project data sets in a single click.

Changing to Design Builder SBEM was undoubtedly the best business decision I’ve made regarding EPCs and Part L2 compliance work

Dave Cocking, Arrow Energy Solutions Ltd

“As one of the first accredited energy assessors for EPCs I decided to use iSBEM, as that was the only fully accredited non-domestic EPC software available in early 2008. After a few months I stopped producing EPCs because I found the data entry to be such a laborious process. I canvassed a few colleagues regarding alternative packages and the most positive response I got was from those using Design Builder SBEM, so after a little further research I decided to try it.

I did the short on-line tutorials prior to the course and found the whole training package enjoyable and informative, gaining some useful additional insights into aspects of Part L2 compliance work and EPC production. The training was supplemented by follow-on tutorial support which was helpful both in terms of addressing queries prior to the exam and on subsequent projects. The staff at Design Builder have always responded to queries in a timely and effective manner.

I would recommend DesignBuilder SBEM to anyone wishing to carry out Level 3 & 4 EPCs

David Higham, Energy Management Consultant

“When looking for software to carry out the SBEM calculation I tried a number of packages, they were either time consuming which reduced productivity or too costly. I then discovered DesignBuilder on the Internet at www.designbuilder.co.uk. Within ten minutes I was able to produce a building which would otherwise have taken me hours or even days to produce on iSBEM.

When I booked onto the training course I had become quite proficient with the DesignBuilder software. Nevertheless the training which I received provided me with additional skills and knowledge needed to produce larger and more complicated buildings.

The software and training course were good value for money

Sebastian Sen-Gupta, Low Carbon Consultant

“I found the Design Builder training course well structured and enjoyable, the software was quick to learn and once I became familiar with the stages of data input, I was able to create a variety of level 3 and 4 building models in a short period of time.

We have been able to produce EPCs and easily check compliance with the building regulations. This has been invaluable for our new build projects, where the actions to improve energy performance can be modelled quickly. The recommendation reports were particularly useful for this and it has already started to influence the design process and reduce CO2 emissions.
