DesignBuilder software can be licensed in a number of ways to suit your organisation's needs. 

Packages and Modules

DesignBuilder is a powerful 3-D building modelling software consisting of 6 modules:

• Certification (SBEM)
• EnergyPlus Simulation
• HVAC
• Daylighting
• CFD
• Visualisation

DesignBuilder single user licenses are usually purchased in a task related package such as the Design Simulation package for detailed evaluation of building environmental performance.

In addition you can easily add on modules by purchasing them now or at a later date to increase the power of your DesignBuilder toolset.

Single User or Site Network Licenses

A single user license allows you to install and use the software on up to 2 different computers, for example your office PC and your laptop. With a single user license, DesignBuilder can be used on only one of the 2 computers at any one time. For larger networked sites it is most cost effective to purchase a site network license, which permits a maximum specified number of concurrent users on a network. The site licensing system uses a license server installed on your network. 

Annual or Version 3 Licenses

DesignBuilder software is available through either annual or v3 licenses:

Version 3

• Use the v3 software forever.
• Free upgrades to all version 3.x releases.
• 40% discount on DesignBuilder v4 if you decide to upgrade when it is released.

Annual Subscription

• Use the product for one year:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest version - you get upgrades to all new versions including version 4 if it is released during the period of your subscription.
• You will be notified before expiry to give you time to renew and get a10% 'early renewal discount' if you renew before the end of the subscription period.

Pay as you go Licensing for EPCs

DesignBuilder "pay as you go" gives you access to DesignBuilder SBEM with no upfront costs and low cost per EPC lodgement. It is ideal for energy assessors who aren't sure how much work is ahead or who need to spread the cost of the software over the year.
