DesignBuilder software can be licensed in a number of ways to suit your organisation's needs. 

Packages and Modules

DesignBuilder is a 3-D building modelling package consisting of 4 optional modules . Currently these are:

• Certification (SBEM)
• EnergyPlus Simulation
  
• CFD
  
• Visualisation

DesignBuilder is usually purchased in a task related package for:

• Energy Assessors in UK and Ireland to create EPCs and Part-L and Section 6 building regulation compliance reports.
• Design Simulation for detailed evaluation of building environmental performance for use by building design professionals anywhere in the world.
  

In addition you can easily add on modules by purchasing them now or at a later date to increase the power of your DesignBuilder toolset.

Single User or Site Licenses

A single user license allows you to install and use the software on up to 2 different computers, for example your office PC and your laptop. With a single user license, DesignBuilder can be used on only one of the 2 computers at any one time. For larger networked sites it is most cost effective to purchase a site license, which permits a maximum specified number of concurrent users on a network. The site licensing system uses a license server installed on your network. 

Annual or Perpetual Licenses

DesignBuilder software is available in either annual or perpetual v.2 licenses:

Perpetual v.2

• Use the v.2 software forever.
• Free upgrades to all version 2.x releases.
• 40% discount on DesignBuilder v.3 if you decide to upgrade when it is released.

Annual Subscription

• Use the product for one year:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest version - you get upgrades to all new versions including version 3 when it is released.
• You will be notified before expiry to give you time to renew.
